(KRON) -- When one thinks of world-renowned restaurants in the Bay Area, most assume they're in either San Francisco, Oakland or San Jose. However, a widely known publication spotlighted one restaurant in this small North Bay city.

According to a recently published list by "North America's 50 Best Restaurants," SingleThread in Healdsburg was named the eighth best restaurant in all of North America. It was the highest-rated establishment in all of California.

SingleThread, located at 131 North St., is a three-Michelin-star restaurant. The publication also ranked SingleThread as the best restaurant in the western United States. SingleThread has a combined Facebook and Instagram followers of nearly 125,000.
