ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Cardinals President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak sat down with First Alert 4 to talk about his final season.

Mozeliak said that he decided to step down after 30 years with the organization after hearing from Cardinals fans about their expectations.

“There’s only so much I can change, or do, and the one thing I knew I could control was me,” he said.

Mozeliak is stepping down to mark the front office transition to Chaim Bloom, who will take over the role as planned.

During his time with the Cardinals, Mozeliak helped lift the Cardinals to six NL Central Division titles, two NL pennants and the 2011 World Series Championship.
