BLOOMFIELD, Wis. -- A 70-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the Village of Bloomfield on Saturday night.

Multiple agencies responded to the area just before 10 p.m. where a man was shot in the chest. Medical aid was rendered but attempts were unsuccessful and the man was declared dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Walworth County Sheriff's Office said there is no further threat to the community.
