PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Peanut vendor Cheryl Spielvogel's voice has become synonymous with Phillies games over the past half-century.

Still, in her 50th season, she has no plans to stop.

It started in 1976 when she returned home from college and frequently attended Phillies games with friends at Veterans Stadium.

She thought it might be a good idea to get a job there. And so, she started selling the only product she's ever sold: Peanuts.

Spielvogel recalls they were only 40 cents a piece, and most customers would buy two packs at a time.

She quickly learned from fellow vendors that she had to use her voice to get people's attention.

That voice would echo throughout generations of Phillies fans who attended games for the next 50 seasons.
