BOSTON —

As the Boston Red Sox get ready to start their playoff run, another Boston team, the Celtics, came together for the first time this year on Monday.

The Celtics have taken on a new look after Jayson Tatum's injury on May 12, combined with new salary rules in the NBA, started a domino effect in the Celtics organization.

"As I knew we were going to end up losing super high character teammates, which is really important to me, we were replacing those guys with good character people, as well," said Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens.

The Celtics may be going from being perennial NBA title contenders to underdogs, but head coach Joe Mazzulla remains steadfast.
