Fever head coach Stephanie White was fined by the WNBA Monday for her support of Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve.

Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White said she was fined for her support of Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve, who was suspended and fined by the WNBA after her expletive-laden rant regarding officiating on Friday.

"I already got fined for supporting Cheryl, which I think is crazy," White said Monday when asked about officiating. "There's nothing we want more than consistency, that's what I would say."

With 23.8 seconds left in the Lynx's Game 3 semifinal, Mercury guard Alyssa Thomas swiped the ball from Napheesa Collier and drove through her, causing contact. Thomas continued for a layup while Collier went down clutching her left ankle. Collier subsequently missed Game 4 and the Lynx were eliminated Sunday.

"The officiating crew that we had tonight, for the leadership to deem those three people semifinals playoff worth is f---ing malpractice,” Reeve said after the Game 3 loss.

White was asked about the incident on Sunday before the Fever played their semifinal game against the Las Vegas Aces.

"She made a lot of valid points," White said. "A lot of the same kind of conversations are happening. You know, it's happening from every team, from every franchise, from every coach, from every player.

"At some point, there has to be some accountability."

Aces coach Becky Hammon also came to White's defense, saying: "From what I heard, she did not tell a lie. She said the truth."

Hammon has also been fined, according to Alexa Philippou of ESPN.
