Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman knew all about love, pain and the whole crazy thing before they even met in 2005.

And for the past two decades, they were committed to riding out the highs and lows of this life together, but E! News can confirm that the couple have separated after 19 years of marriage.

A source told TMZ Sept. 19 that the parents of daughters Sunday Rose , 17, and Faith Margaret , 14, have been living apart "since the beginning of summer."

E! News learned in July that Kidman had applied to become a resident of Portugal . At the time, Urban was not listed on the form, but a source with knowledge of the situation told E! that his absence was due to scheduling conflicts.
