Police investigating an aggravated assault in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood this month, in which a same-sex couple was assaulted with a baseball bat, have released images of people they're hoping to identify.

Police continue to investigate the Sept. 13 incident on River Street, they said Monday, asking anyone with information about people seen in a composite image showing eight men to contact them either by calling 617-343-4527 or by submitting an anonymous tip.

It wasn't immediately clear who, if anyone, seen in the image was a suspect, as opposed to a person of interest.
