CLEVELAND — All 1 p.m. games? Really? We couldn’t even score one 3:30 p.m. game? Can’t even wait for the kids to get off the school bus? This is total horse pucky.

After a truly remarkable Guardians regular season culminating in a storybook ending, Major League Baseball, in its infinite wisdom, has opted to reward Cleveland’s inspiring efforts by scheduling them for three straight 1 p.m. start times — if needed, of course.

What a treat for the players, and perhaps even more so the Guardians fans who, after supporting their team through 162 contests, now get to attempt to watch the most important games of the year during a time slot typically reserved for "The Bold and the Beautiful."
