A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle in Middletown on Monday morning, police said.
Officers were called to the area of 139 Main Street Extension around 6:34 a.m. on Monday for the report of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, according to the Middletown Police Department .
Arriving officers determined that 66-year-old Paul Fachini was struck by a motor vehicle while crossing Main Street Extension, police said. He was rushed to Hartford Hospital for a life-threatening head injury and was listed in critical condition as of Monday afternoon, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle stopped after the collision and has been cooperating with the police.
