Gary Lineker has hit back at Roy Keane after the Manchester United legend called Alan Shearer was 'sneaky and nasty'.

Former Match of the Day host Lineker added that Keane 's jibes at Shearer were done to promote the Stick to Football podcast he stars on.

What did Keane say about Shearer?

Keane said last week: " Shearer was sneaky, sneaky elbows.

"I didn’t admire people who were nasty, I don’t like nasty people."

Keane's comments were subsequently shared by Ian Wright and Micah Richards, who are friends with both Keane and Shearer.

Lineker is firmly Team Shearer as he took exception to what Keane said about the Newcastle legend on The Rest is Football podcast.
