TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - An elderly woman has died from her injuries following a pedestrian crash on the westside of Tucson.

The Tucson Police Department said the incident occurred on Sept. 23 at North Riverside Drive and West Sonora Street.

Martha Ballesteros Lopez, 81, was hit by a white Chrysler while attempting to cross Riverside Drive at Sonora Street. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and passed away on Sept. 28, according to TPD.

The 81-year-old woman was crossing the road "in a presumed unmarked crosswalk," when the Chrysler driver was turning left from the eastbound lanes on Sonora Street to the northbound lanes on Riverside Drive, according to TPD.
