ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Public Schools is inviting students and families to participate in the search for a new superintendent, as Dr. Ehren Jarrett plans to step down at the end of the school year.

The district's 'Community Voice' portion of the superintendent search begins Tuesday, with applications for the position being accepted until the end of the month. This initiative aims to involve the community in selecting a suitable replacement for Dr. Jarrett.

Informational meetings for families will be held tomorrow at 6 p.m. at Auburn, East, Guilford, and Jefferson High Schools. Additionally, an online Zoom session is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 11:45 a.m.
