MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

A lifesaving moment came full circle Monday inside a Clermont County firehouse as two Miami Township firefighters reunited with Carey Williams, a 70-year-old Navy veteran and retired schoolteacher whose life they saved during a pickleball game in July.

Williams walked through the doors of the firehouse, bringing more than just a thank you. "God is good. God is good," Williams said, reflecting on his second chance at life. Advertisement

In July, during a game of pickleball, Williams suddenly felt like he was going to pass out. "We were on Game 6 and I just felt like I was going to pass out. I had no pain or anything," he said. "I was out like a light."
