A Delta Air Lines flight headed for Atlanta from Lagos, Nigeria declared a mid-air emergency last week due to a galley fire on board.

Delta Flight 55, an Airbus A330-200, had just departed from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos when a fire erupted in one of the galley ovens on Tuesday, Sept. 23, a spokesperson for the airline confirmed to PEOPLE.
