FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A crash in Fresno left over 2,000 PG&E customers without power Monday afternoon.
The crash was reported just before 2:30 p.m. at 11th Street and Teague Avenues. No injuries were reported, but the collision knocked out a power line supplying thousands of customers.
According to police, a woman was driving up 11th Street when she saw a vehicle traveling toward her. She told officers she accelerated to try to get out of the way, but lost control and hit a power pole.
The outage immediately affected 2,337 customers in the area, but that was quickly downgraded to around 200 customers. According to the PG&E Outage Center, power is expected to be restored to all customers by 5:45 p.m.
