LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Direct care workers (DCWs), who assist people with daily living activities, are gathering in Lansing to hold a four-day conference that will highlight the needs of industry employees.

IMPART Alliance, an initiative led by Michigan State University that supports DCWs, reports that the conference comes as Michigan works to fill an estimated 15,000 positions.

Industry employees will have the opportunity to learn new skills, discuss issues, and "strengthen their role as vital caregivers in their communities," during the event.
