SILSBEE, Texas — The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting in Silsbee after deputies discovered two adults dead with apparent gunshot wounds Monday evening.

Deputies responded around 5 p.m. to the 6000 block of FM Highway 1122 after being called to a domestic situation, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found two deceased adults, one woman and one man, with apparent gunshot wounds, the release stated.

The initial investigation indicates the pair were husband and wife, and authorities are treating the case as a possible murder-suicide, according to the sheriff’s office.

No additional details about the victims have been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
