SOUTHEAST Mo. (KFVS) - All the evidence at the scene of the 1991 murders of four Texas teenagers points to one person, Robert Eugene Brashers, a name we first heard back in 2018.

He’s the man identified as the killer of Sherri and Megan Scherer in Portageville, Mo. in 1998.

Now, authorities in Austin, Texas call him the prime suspect in the cold case known around the world as the “The Yogurt Shop Murders.”

13-year-old Amy Ayers, 15-year-old Sarah Harbison, 17-year-old Jennifer Harbison and 17-year-old Eliza Thomas were all found shot to death inside that shop, tied up with their own clothes, the building then set on fire.

Two young men spent time in prison for the crime, but DNA evidence later cleared them.
