Our athletes of the week each led their respective teams to victories over their Rainshadow Rivals this week.

Emma Desjardins has already served notice that she’s going to be a force in the Olympic League for years to come. Just a freshman, she scored two goals against Sequim to help the Roughriders to a 4-0 win over the Wolves. Her first goal was an especially spectacular solo effort, juking past a pair of Sequim defenders by the left sideline and hitting a perfect high shot from 25 yards out to the far post.

Dylan Mann led the Riders football team to a 27-14 victory over Sequim in Friday’s Rainshadow Rumble. Mann carried the ball 33 times for 142 yards and had a crucial 27-yard catch and run, breaking a tackle in the flat, to convert a fourth-down play in the second half. That one play
