EUGENE, Ore. - A SWAT raid at Ferry Street Flats late Saturday night resulted in significant damage and the arrest of a 47-year-old man, Elijah Eugene Rogers. The Eugene Police Department deployed SWAT teams, drones, and armored vehicles to apprehend Rogers, who was wanted on multiple warrants.
Witnesses described the scene as intense, with officers shattering a window and using tear gas. "They shattered the window of the room they were trying to get into. And then they were telling us to clear out of the parking lot. And so we were standing across the street and then we just heard like this huge loud boom. And then we just saw like a bunch of flashlights coming from the window," a resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said.
