CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Using the help of modern technology, Caddo Fire District #4 says they were able to locate and distinguish a landfill fire that spread across acres.

Reports from CFD state that just after 1 a.m. on September 28, 2025, crews from Caddo Fire District 4 Station 2 on Colquitt Road discovered smoke in the area and sent out a thermal imaging drone to detect the source.

The drone confirmed flames coming from the Woolworth Road Landfill, 10580 Woolworth Road.

Due to the size and nature of the fire, Caddo Fire Districts 4, 3, and 6 were dispatched, arriving to find several acres of landfill material actively burning.
