A Rhode Island man faces several charges after authorities say he posed as a valet driver for a 99 Restaurant in Pembroke and kidnapped a 75-year-old woman.

The man convinced the woman to allow him to drive her car, then drove away from the restaurant and threatened the woman with a gun if she did not perform lewd acts, according to a statement on Monday by the Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz’s Office.

The incident happened on the night of Sept. 15 when the woman, who was not identified by authorities, returned to the restaurant after she forgot her wallet and cellphone, authorities said.
