NELSON COUNTY, Ky. —
A man is facing drug and reckless driving charges after a police chase in Nelson County.
The Nelson County Sheriff's Office said a deputy attempted to stop 28-year-old Ryan Chesser early Monday morning on New Haven Road. Police said Chesser was speeding and driving carelessly.
Chesser did not stop and kept going at speeds up to 100 mph, according to police.
A pursuit followed, where Chesser allegedly damaged property on Tollgate Road and stopped behind a home.
Police searched the area and took Chesser into custody.
Chesser is facing the following charges:
Police say Chesser also had an arrest warrant out for parole violation.
He is being held at the Nelson County Jail.
