Veteran Chris Paul is back in Los Angeles as a member of the Clippers again and is planting roots in the area.
Paul, 40, joined the ownership group of the NWSL's Angel City FC as one of four new investors in the franchise valued at $250 million by Sportico last year. They were the only NWSL franchise to top $200 million.
Also joining the investor group is billionaire Solina Chau, consultant Ina Coleman and businessman and film producer Paul Bernon. Total investment from each was not revealed.
The club reportedly has more than 100 investors.
Paul played for the Clippers from 2011-17, finishing in the top seven of MVP voting in the first five of those six seasons. Over 20 NBA seasons with seven different franchises, Paul has averaged 17.0 points with 9.2 assists in 1,354 games (1,314 sta
