Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned militant group Hamas of consequences if it doesn’t agree to a US-brokered peace deal for Gaza, saying, “Israel will finish the job by itself" if it rejects the plan.
“We’re giving everybody a chance to do this peacefully… But if Hamas rejects your plan, or if they accept it and then counter it, then Israel will finish the job by itself. This can be done the easy way or the hard way. But it will be done…," Netanyahu said while addressing a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump, who proposed a peace deal for conflict-torn Gaza.
Netanyahu on Monday accepted Trump’s peace proposal, calling it a “critical step" toward ending the conflict.
