During a town meeting Monday night, officials said the cameras will be installed in early 2026.
North Haven police will identify a list of areas to add the cameras and present them to state transportation officials for their approval.
When approved, there will be signage in both directions telling drivers there are speed cameras in the area, according to First Selectman Michael Freda.
The first offense will cost $50 and if you get another ticket within a year of the first fine, it'll cost $75. After a year, the fine will reset to $50.
