Jennifer Lopez, star of upcoming musical drama Kiss Of The Spider Woman , has said the film is a ‘love letter to the queer community’.
One of many highly anticipated upcomign queer films, Kiss of the Spider Woman , from director Bill Condon, is based on the 1992 stage musical by playwrights Terrence McNally , John Kander, and Fred Ebb, which itself was adapted from the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig.
The film’s official logline reads: “Valentín ( Diego Luna ), a political prisoner, shares a cell with Molina (Tonatiuh), a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favourite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna/ Aurora/ The Spider Woman (Jennifer Lopez) .”
