SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Harrisburg Volleyball team has been a force to be reckoned with in Class AA for years.

Our Karl’s TV & Appliance Athlete of the Week Gabi Zachariasen is a senior for the Tigers and has been making an impact ever since she joined the team.

Head Coach Ronette Costain has been the Tigers coach for 30 years.

In her time, she has never coached a player like Gabi Zachariasen.

Coach Ronette Costain said, “Gabi is probably the fiercest competitor I’ve ever coached. If you tell her to go do something, she’ll do it ten times.”

She had a big role in her sophomore season.

In year two with the team Zachariasen was made a captain.

Costain said, “We didn’t have any seniors that season, we had a couple of upperclassmen, they were not as outspoken as Gabi, a
