CCTV of a man shooting into a home in Sydney's inner-west with a "high-powered rifle" has been released as detectives try to track him down.

Emergency services were called following reports bullets were fired into a home on Davidson Avenue in Concord at about 1.10am on July 3.

There was nobody inside at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Shortly after, emergency services were called to Stuart Street in Burwood after reports of a car fire.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, however, a white GV Genesis SUV was destroyed in the blaze.

Burwood police established crime scenes at both locations and treated the incidents as linked.
