Jennifer Lopez is getting major Oscar buzz for her performance in the new movie Kiss of the Spider Woman and she has revealed that the movie wouldn’t have been made without her ex Ben Affleck .

The 56-year-old entertainer plays Aurora in the film adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical, which won lead actress Chita Rivera a Tony Award.

In a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning , JLo revealed Ben ‘s role on the film.

“The movie wouldn’t have been made if it wasn’t for him and Artists Equity…I will always give him that credit. They financed it,” Jennifer said about Ben and his production company.

“I told him this was the role I was born to play and I wanted to do it, and he was like, ‘OK,’ and he helped make it happen,” she added .
