ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A candidate for Albuquerque mayor said he is dropping out of the race. Daniel Chavez, who owns a local parking company, told KRQE News 13 that after recently polling results, he does not see a viable path forward.

An Albuquerque Journal poll over the weekend showed Chavez had less than 6% of the vote. While Chavez is dropping out, he will still appear on the ballot. Six candidates remain in the running.
