OpenAI is reportedly working on a new short video app that could change the way people consume content online. According to Wired, the company is preparing to launch a platform similar to TikTok, but with one major difference - every single clip on it will be created by artificial intelligence. The project is said to be powered by OpenAI’s upcoming video model, Sora 2, which the company is yet to make public.
The app, which is still in development, is expected to follow the familiar short-video format with a vertical feed and swipe-to-scroll design. But unlike TikTok or Instagram Reels, users will not have the option to upload their own videos from their camera roll. Instead, Sora 2 will be responsible for generating every video that appears in the feed. This puts the focus entirely on AI
