The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman joined the call for a powerful online adjudicator on Tuesday after revelations hundreds of consumers and businesses had been locked out of their accounts with little redress.
The call follows a similar recommendation by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission in its Digital Platforms inquiry, and as social media experts warn the issue was likely to worsen if not tackled.
