A woman launched a foul-mouthed and racist tirade at police officers who came to her help.

On February 23 last year, officers spotted a man assaulting Chloe Whelan, 36, in a car, by pulling her hair and slapping her, and immediately arrested him on Minshull Street in Manchester city centre .

However, as they were restraining him on the ground, she got out of the driver’s seat and ‘leapt’ at one of the officers, ‘wrapping her hands around his head’.

She was arrested for assaulting an emergency worker, during which she was verbally abusive, calling the officers: N***ces’ and stating: “I’ll punch every one of your heads in.”
