Bank Holiday Today: Banks across India will remain shut on several days between late September and early October 2025 on account of Durga Puja, Navratri, Gandhi Jayanti, and other regional festivals. As per the RBI’s holiday calendar, banks observe both nationwide holidays and state-specific festivals, along with regular weekly offs on the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays. On September 30 , branches in cities such as Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Patna, Ranchi, and others will remain closed for Maha Ashtami or Durga Ashtami. October 1 will see a wider set of closures across states including Tripura, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, and more due to Dussehra, Ayudha Pooja, and Durga Puja.
