Formally opening the 2025-26 journey with the Los Angeles Lakers , Luka Doncic shared his excitement about his first full campaign with the storied franchise.

“Preseason is very important to me, for the team. To try and get to know everybody, what everybody likes. In practice, we are allowed to make mistakes. That’s what practices are. I’m excited to get out there with everybody,” he said during the preseason media day on Monday.

“The more and more time that we’re together, the better we are going to be, just having it start from day one,” said LeBron James, responding to a question about starting the preseason with the 26-year-old Slovenian combo guard on board.
