A five-year-old boy, Kelvin Richard, has tragically died after being struck by a motor vehicle in Chankoma Village along the Santhe–Chinkhoma road.

The incident has been confirmed by the Kasungu Police Station’s Assistant Public Relations Officer, Chifundo Nedi, who stated that the child was hit while attempting to cross the road.

According to Nedi, Kelvin sustained severe head injuries along with multiple fractures to his right leg and arm.

He succumbed to his injuries shortly after the accident.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
