Health officials are warning people not to eat certain pasta meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s over a possible listeria contamination.

It comes as Albertsons Companies recently announced a recall of some deli items made in stores over a possible listeria contamination.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued an updated public health alert on Sept. 26 for ready-to-eat meals containing pre-cooked pasta that may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes. Two pasta meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s were named in the public health alert, and officials say they’re concerned that the affected foods may be in people’s refrigerators or freezers.

People who’ve purchased the items are urged not to eat them.
