Spanish streaming plaform Atresplayer continues to ramp up its original productions, launching “ 33 Days ” (“33 Dias”) and Season 2 of its breakout hit series: “ La Ruta . Vol. 2: Ibiza” at the San Sebastian Film Festival and at Madrid confab Iberseries & Platino Industria.

“33 Days” is the first television series created by renowned true-crime investigative journalist Carles Porta.

Inspired by the real-life escape of two inmates from the Lleida prison in 2001, “33 Days” chronicles their breakout which triggered a 33-day manhunt by Catalonia’s police force, the Mossos d’Esquadra.
