People travelling on a UK passport could be refused entry to Spain, Greece, Italy and a number of other countries due to a post-Brexit scheme set to launch in 2026. Once the initiative comes into force, UK holidaymakers will have to pay for a digital travel authorisation document to allow them entry to some 30 European nations.

British travellers will have to register with the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS), with this soon to become an entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals visiting a select group of 30 countries.
