Teo Valianatos’ goal with 1:20 left was the game-winner as Mendham stunned Delbarton, No. 2 in the NJ.com Top 20, 3-2, in Mendham.

Viraj Kataria assisted on the goal for Mendham (3-5-2), which defeated Delbarton (7-2-1) for the first time since 2009.

Delbarton had won 46 consecutive games against Morris County opponents, the last loss coming on Sept. 28, 2022 against Montville.

Vinny Mosso tied the game for Mendham at 2-2 in the 67th minute on a goal from 40 yards out after a Kamran Basar pass. Basar opened the scoring with a goal in the 16th minute and Xavier Cresti made five saves.

Matt Brusco scored goals in the 30th and 56th minutes to give Delbarton a 2-1 lead. Sebastian Rubio made two saves in defeat.
