Rain is set to make a return to Coventry later this week, according to the Met Office. It has been a relatively dry past few days and this is set to continue over the next 72 hours.

But by Friday (October 3) wet and windy conditions can be expected across our area. The Met Office forecast says much of the UK will be hit as a result of the tropical cyclones currently over the Atlantic.

Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Chris Bulmer said: "The situation becomes more complex later in the week as tropical cyclones Humberto and Imelda, currently over the southwest Atlantic, influence our weather, increasing the risk of a deep low developing near the UK.

“If this materialises, we could see some very strong winds as well as further heavy rainfall Friday into Saturday, but at this time the
