Spending years in the shelter can be tough for any dog, but it’s even worse when they live in an outdoor shelter in California.
The weather gets extremely hot in the summer, or cold in the winter, which makes it really difficult for dogs to adjust.
The shelter staff does its best to accommodate all dogs, but it’s not always easy or possible. Sometimes, the only thing their rescuers can do is find a home for them as fast as possible.
This sweet dog, named Loki, had spent a few years at the City of Desert Hot Springs Animal Care and Control, and it changed him, but things would soon change when he met someone special.
