These days, schools charge high fees, and parents often struggle to keep up with the rising costs of education. At the same time, many expect better standards from the very people running these schools. Now, a photo of a cheque written by a school principal is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The incident comes from Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh, where the principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Ronhat, signed a cheque of Rs 7,616. While the numbers on the cheque were written correctly, the words left everyone shocked. Instead of the proper wording, the cheque read: “Saven Thursday six Harendra sixty rupees only."
