A Halloween-themed event returns to the Warner Theatre despite facing a $10,000 funding cut.
The Eerie Horror Festival returns to the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. on Oct. 10-11. Festival organizers say that this event has been held for about 20 years in different forms, but 2025 will be the first year under the rebrand of Film Erie .
"It used to be run by (Greg Ropp) in Edinboro in 2021," said Aaron Mook, press relations coordinator for Eerie Horror Fest. "Then there were some changes in management and personnel, it was under the umbrella of the Film Society of Northwest Pennsylvania and that was around 2023. Recently there have been further changes to the Film Society and we are now Film Erie (beginning in 2025)."
