Portsmouth has become a dream town for developers, not citizens

Sept. 25 − To the Editor:

City officials are getting us distracted from our priorities. Priorities should be putting a stop to approving more hotels, expensive condos, expensive apartment buildings! We shouldn’t even be considering these.

This has been an ongoing problem with this administration. It’s been going on for a long time prior too and needs fixing! Portsmouth has become the developers dream town, not our citizens' town.

We allow variances frequently and ultimately we approve most all applications. Our city government keeps approving these new buildings and in some cases approve impacts to existing historic buildings, impact on neighbors, neighborhoods, parking and landscapes.

The town is not up for sale.
