A new coffee shop may be coming to Edinburgh, according to plans lodged with the council.

Owners are seeking permission to erect signage for the new eatery, named Soul Fire Coffee, at 12 Henderson Street in Leith .

The plans were submitted the Edinburgh Council planning portal for approval.

This comes after an application was submitted in August for changing the use of the property from a shop to a cafe , with new louvres for new extraction fan, new entrance door and new signage.

The plans remain under consideration.

Soul Fire Coffee would occupy the former premises of TEN Henderson Street, which was offered rentable workspace.

The business is now permanently closed and the premises have sat vacant.
