Holidaymakers have suffered dreadful experiences over the past two days as extreme weather conditions in Greece caused chaos at Zakynthos Airport. Several passengers trying to get back to the UK have had their flights delayed, cancelled or diverted.

The Greek airport, which caters for tourists visiting the party destination Zante, was crammed with travellers whose plans had been disrupted. Large groups of people could be spotted in the airport in images posted on social media.
