Calling all witches: Romeo is trying to set a world record for the largest gathering of witches and warlocks on Oct 25.
“The current record is 1607 people which happened in Sort, Spain in 2013,” said Romeo Downtown Development Authority Director Kay Pochert. “Our annual downtown trick-or-treat event typically draws between 1,500 and 2,000 people so we added Witches and Warlocks Return to Romeo as a way of attracting more people to Romeo’s downtown.
“We already have a crowd coming to the area so we want to lengthen their stay.”
